Endura advances large-scale carbon removal in Brazil

Endura is a BECCS (Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage) project designed to enable industrial-scale carbon removal and leverage the strength of Brazil’s bioenergy ecosystem.

Endura will connect the country’s sugar and ethanol industry with deep geological storage, transforming biogenic CO₂ into a permanent, verifiable, and high-integrity climate solution.

The project is currently assessing selected locations to build infrastructure capable of capturing and storing up to 1 million tons of CO₂ per year, scalable to over 10 million tons annually through a network of regional hubs.

The initiative brings together expertise in geosciences, reservoir engineering, regulatory affairs, bioenergy, project development and structured finance.

The structuring of Endura is being legally advised by Pinheiro Neto Advogados, with technical development supported by Degolyer & MacNaughton — one of the world’s foremost reservoir consulting firms, and CimaGeo, a company recognized for its advanced geophysical processing algorithms for Brazilian onshore basins.

Endura aims to establish one of the most efficient and cost-effective carbon removal frameworks globally, positioning Brazil as a frontrunner in the net-zero industrial transition. Removing carbon permanently, at scale, is more than a climate goal — it is a new industrial discipline.
